EULAR 2027 | OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of EULAR, we are excited to launch an open call for Scientific Session Proposals to our member societies. Now is your chance to make your mark on the EULAR Congress Programme. If it is chosen, the session becomes a part of the EULAR 2027 Congress Programme.
WHO CAN SUBMIT A PROPOSAL?
Any member society may submit proposals for the following session formats:
- Clinical Science
- Basic and Translational Science
- From Bench to Bedside
- Health Professionals in Rheumatology Sessions
- PARE (People with arthritis and rheumatism in Europe) Sessions

HOW CAN I SUBMIT A PROPOSAL?
You may submit a proposal via the link until 31 July 2026. Proposals may be edited up until the deadline.
Each session must include the following:
- Session title
- Session format
- Session description
- Proposed faculty members and their contact details
- Your contact details
Any incomplete proposals will not be considered by our EULAR Congress Committee. All proposals are to be submitted in English. Please note that the EULAR 2027 Congress is fully onsite and will be conducted in English, please ensure that your proposed faculty members are able to communicate in English and can travel to the Congress destination.
WHO CHOSES THE PROPOSALS?
All completed proposals will be reviewed by Prof. Xenofon Baraliakos (EULAR President), Prof. Helga Lechner-Radner (Scientific Programme Chair) and Abstract Chair (TBC for 2027). Sessions will be chosen based on their scientific quality, innovation in topic or delivery and engaging speakers. They will choose the sessions that inspire them and that will become part of the programme at the EULAR 2027 Congress.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PROPOSAL IS SELECTED?
If your proposal is selected, thank you and well done! We will announce the chosen sessions in October 2026.
All EULAR sessions must be convened by an official member of the EULAR Congress Committee; this means that a member of our committee will assume responsibility for the session. As the convenor, they can make any changes they see fit, including faculty, learning objectives and presentation titles.
Please note that by submitting your proposal, you agree with the above terms.
EULAR will recognise each selected proposal in the official programme, and may even invite submitters to Chair the session at the Congress!
WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY DATA?
EULAR will delete your data once the sessions have been chosen. EULAR will not use your data for any other purpose apart from contacting you in the event that your session proposal has been chosen.
